Shortly after the front page article on Saipan's Marianas Variety was released, we were contacted by Mr. Glenn Manglona to do a live radio interview. He is the host of the Marianas Agupa Chamorro Talkshow that is aired on Saturday mornings on Saipan.
Mr. Manglona wanted to find out more details about the inspiration of the newly published children's book ,The Blessings of Visiting Grandma and Grandpa, as well as other questions.
The interview time is just right as it will be Saturday morning (July 27 Saipan and Guam time) sometime between 10 - 10:30 am. Franicia will be called in Florida (Friday, July 26) sometime between 7 - 7:30 pm CST. Callers may call in during that time.
The Blessings of Visiting Grandma and Grandpa is available on Amazon through their Kindle services. Currently, Amazon Prime Members are able to borrow the children's rhyming story book for free from their Kindles.

After days of tweaking the layout in numerous ways, we were able to get Amazon's book creator to accept and upload the ebook file for the children's rhyming story book on the night of July 15, 2013. Then Amazon gave us a 12 hour wait before launching the book for purchases.
This morning, July 17, 2013 the children's book was live on Amazon Kindle again. Updates were restored to the old version on devices that had downloaded them. And guess what? We still had the same image issues. So we decided to take it down and are going through the HTML and other factors of uploading a children's book through Kindle's medium.
In the meantime, the book is ready for printing. We're so glad that physical books don't have these technical issues with modern electronic devices! Visit the website for updates on the book's printing process as well as a fundraiser for the book's printing.
There will be incentives for various donors, including an autographed hardcover children's book, donations of books to a library of your choice, as well as a rare sneak peak (as a gift to generous donors) of chapters to Franicia's autobiography.
Even if you can't afford to donate, be sure to stop by to read snippets of the chapters that will prove to be interesting in the life of an island girl from Saipan.
The Lord has been blessing our work as we press on towards our publishing goals. After Franicia wrote the children's book and illustrated the pictures, it was time to bring everything together in Adobe's InDesign program.
Our first aim is to get The Blessings of Visiting Grandma and Grandpa published and ready for Amazon's Kindle format.
It has been a joy working these long hours together making our family business a reality and taking this children's story book to print very soon. In the meantime, we are grateful for the opportunity to release an ebook version of the book first.
